2Baba’s decomposing Corpse surfaces

The remains of a most wanted cultist known as Gift Okpara, aka, 2Baba who reportedly killed a Superintendent of Police and former Divisional Police Officer (DPO) Ahoada Division, Late Bako Angbashim, in an ambush in Odiemudie Community, Ahaoda East Local Government Area of Rivers State on September 8, 2023, has been discovered by Operatives of the Police Force.

Recall that the Commissioner of Police Olatunji Disu, had in an earlier briefing, disclosed that 2baba, the prime suspect in the killing of Angbashim, had been killed during a joint operation in a forest in Ahoada.

Briefing newsmen yesterday, the police Commissioner said operatives of the Command had located and exhumed the corpse of the notorious killer and cultist, who they were able to identify through a large Tattoo on his left shoulder.

Disu while displaying the corpse of 2Baba hinted that the tactical operatives in the early hours of Friday, acting on credible information, had successfully located the shallow grave in Ebrass, Ahoada West LGA, where the notorious Iceland cult leader was buried.

Disu, who displayed the corpse at the Command’s Headquarters along Moscow Road, reiterated the importance of citizens’ collaboration and support in the fight against crime.

He urged the public to continue to provide the police with timely and accurate information that can facilitate the fight against criminals.

Africa Update reports that the CP assured the residents of the State that the Police Command remains committed to the safety and security of the state, adding that they will continue operations to apprehend other members of 2baba’s gang and also dismantle any remaining criminal networks.

He expressed appreciation to the Inspector General of Police, IGP Kayode Egbetokun; the Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, all officers of the command and residents of the state for the successes recorded so far.
