According to reports, Caleb, who is a 22-year final year student of the University of Benin, smashed his 55-year-old mother’s head and ripped her womb opened with a broken bottle because she refused to give him money. Caleb is the last child of his mother.
Caleb had asked for money from his mother who operates a beer parlor, to run to school. Her refusal to grant his request got him angry. He locked her in a room, used a broken bottle to smash her head and body repeatedly until she died. Neighbors who rushed to rescue her, met him with her intestines in his hands.
Confirming the incident, the spokesman of the Edo State Police Command, DSP Moses Nkombe wh, said Caleb had been arrested by the police.
