Covid 19 has literally exposed Nigeria as not only an economically weak nation but a nation without futuristic thinkers in leadership positions.
Our short sighted political actors can now see the reason to be patriotic in approach to nation building.
Today nations in the world has locked their gates asking every nation to mind their business for now. Our heath care institution is better not imagined because they are glorified sick bay .
Our food security outlay is for only the rich. The masses are left with noddles as palliative. When has noddles become the staple food for an African.
Thoughtless bullies in corridors of power. Our nation’s infrastructure was left to rot away because USA, UK, India and Chinese infrastructure was a viable alternative to superlative fools.
I warned about the level of rascality of our elites but they mock those of us in their minds because Abuja was a safe heaven for their vicious attack on their helpless fellow citizens. But today the virus has chased them back to that village they refused to develop.
They have returned to those squalors they so much deject. How on earth will a nation that is rated as one of the riches African nation be this badly managed by her own citizens. Shamefully as it is our own president seeks medical help in UK even at high cost of security implications and it’s international embarrassment.
How can a president whose medical remedy is anchored in a foreign land argue with his counterpart on sound issues of diplomatic equality when he knows his opponent has an amazing advantage.
Your disagreement is your grave in this instance. We squander all resources of development thinking the rain last forever. Our agro based industries was left to rot away and agriculture was seen as occupation of the poor.
Our petrodollar mentality has been exposed because oil price has nose dived. Sadly this the only country in the world today that produce millions of crude oil but lacks the single capacity to refine same for their domestic use.. What a group of educated, illiterate buffoons parading the streets of Abuja as elites.
We sleep in darkness yet flay millions of cubic of gas daily, yet we sold our energy infrastructure to Chinese artisans who came here with not even quality screwdriver and we hope to get light for industrial revolution. Foolishness at its peak.
The shameless elites can now see their folly because they were willing collaborators in the hands of foreigners whose interest is beyond collaborative development but selfish acquisition of our nation assets. We are graduating into a global slave colony because we are almost indebted to many nations of the world. A debtor is an economic slave.
Mostly when you’re not willing to work hard to liquidate your debt. History has it that Israel went to Egypt due to economic hardship and ended up into hundreds of years slavery .But today Israel can feed Egypt for many years because they learnt their lessons fast.
Will our own elites and political actors learn? I doubt because majority are catastrophic meddlesome interlopers into governance. Their thinking is abstract, their approach to public life is laced with the worst primitive agenda, lacking in any form patriotism. We must insist on getting quality leadership hence forth.
Nigerian has no business with abject poverty. Borrowing should stop. Millions of kilometer square farmable lands must be cultivated. New refineries must be established. States and zones as the case may be should be encouraged by FG to build and operate their own refineries.
All LGAs in the country should dedicate 40% of their annual income into agriculture. University curriculum should change from regimental learning to impart learning. All university should be given grants for research on specialized areas of strength. There should be constituency agro projects to be executed by NASS members nation wide.
Sambisa forest should be cleared and fenced to serve as national live stock ranch. States should develop agro processing plants in collaboration with private sector. Tax holiday should be given to farmers for 10 yrs. There should be ten years aggressive national food security plan. Agro storage plants and warehouses should be built across the zones.
All seaports must be made functional not only for import but for export of goods and services. We have the capacity to dominate the world in many aspects of life. All we need is patriotic leadership. Exploration of solid minerals must be intensified but with friendly environmental approach because no zone or state should be subjected to ecological genocide as the Niger Deltan’s again.
Environmental degradation in the Niger Delta region should stop and all IOCs compelled to adopt international best practice in oil exploration. A deliberate policy of remediation of Niger Delta environment should be put in place and aggressively pursued because no cancer ravaged body can contribute to national development.
North East must be restored and rebuild so as to safeguard the dignity of human lives there. Our electoral system needs urgent overhaul because it’s the unfortunate vehicle that conveys most of our unprepared minds into governance which has brought us to this sad situation. Independent candidates should be allowed through constitutional amendment. We can’t allow anymore men who basically suffer from acquired integrity deficiency syndrome to parade themselves as our messiahs.
While the results of their foolhardy is steering on our faces daily. There should be convocation of Sovereign National Conference of all ethnic nationalities so criminally amalgamated by the British colonist because Nigerians has never had a constitution of their own. The conference must be free from any interference and every aspect of our lives will be discussed.
All ethnic group will nominate equal number of persons into the conference. FG is not going to spend a kobo for the purpose of such conference as the confrerees will be sponsored by their people through out the duration of the conference.
No FG nominees is allowed. There’s no ethnic nationality that does not know who their true leaders are. The Conferees are at liberty to choose their venue ,develop their template for discussion and form their committees . The outcome of such SNC will not be subjected to any vetting by any authority. We are Nigerians and we know what is good for us and our children unborn.
The decision of the SNC becomes our constitution and will immediately become law. We must as a matter of national interest depart from been a country and enter into a nation.
