It did not come as a surprise to many when the High Court in Port Harcourt appointed Hon. Igo Aguma as the acting Chairman of Rivers APC caretaker committee.
In his public remark after the judgment, he told the press that his sole mission is to take Rivers APC to heaven. He promised reconciliation, peace and unity.
Subsequently, he convened an online meeting on zoom, the first ever party online meeting in Nigeria. A record breaking feat by Aguma & his co travellers.
The meeting which lasted for a few minutes was perceived to be ignored by the majority of the state executive committee members, who were invites.
At the end, the press was not addressed, neither was the members informed of resolutions, with regards to the Aguma’s top agenda – reconciliation.
The Adams Oshiomhole landmark suspension, which was validly upheld by an unanimous ruling of the five man Appeal court panel was the air that blew strongly and exposed the redish ass of the amorous hen.
In the court’s ruling and wisdom, the most senior official of APC’s NWC was appointed to take charge and pilot the affairs of the party. Chief Victor Giadom as the then National Deputy Secretary who happened to be the most senior was saddled with that responsibility as there must be no vacuum in leadership.
Hardly has he settled down to discharge the legal responsibility of his office, did series of rib cracking dramas and badly scripted movies served to the bewildered public.
1. Ex Gov. Ajumobi whom we were told is in coma, was hurriedly scripted to have woken up or regained consciousness and convened the NWC meeting in an undisclosed venue.
2. Ajumobi quickly, devoid of press and camera handed over leadership in acting capacity to Hon. Hillard Eta, national vice chairman, south south.
3. As soon as Ajumobi handed over to Eta, strong rumour was released by TVC’s Journalist hangout commentator, Mr Babajide Ojitotu that Ajumobi is dead and lifeless.
4. Few hours later, Dele Momodu tweeted from London that Ajumobi is not dead, but was still in coma.
5. Mr Hillard Eta who handed power over to himself by himself and for himself constituted a primary election committee in Edo State.
6. Fast forward, the coup plotters calls the legal acting chairman an usurper. What an epic comedy.
7. Oshiomhole desperately organizes his factional EPM to lift his suspension.
8. Authentic ward excos debunks claims of lifting suspension on Oshiomhole. Insist that Oshiomhole remains suspended.
9. Igo Aguma who proclaimed the famous reconciliation agenda and the imaginary trip to heaven made a dramatic surmasault, and got an order from Rivers State high court removing the acting chairman on the flimsy ground that he contested election as a deputy governor in Rivers State.
10. The most weakest and funniest part of the badly acted movie was the suspension of a legal acting chairman of the party.
11. The most horrible, laughable and comedic part of the drama was the swearing in of the long black British cap wearing Barr Worgu Bombs as the national deputy secretary of APC by illegal Mr Hillard Eta, the acclaimed Ajumobi stand-in acting chairman, all acting in gross disobedience to the judgment of the courts.12. The authentic acting chairman, Chief Victor Giadom writes INEC disassociating the APC of any planned primary election in Edo State. Rumours has it that INEC has complied.
13. Mr Lawal, a member of the NWC just informed the public that Chief Victor Giadom never resigned, rather he got a valid waiver from the suspended party chairman, Adams Oshiomhole.
