BACKGROUND
In the 80’s a group of form five students were barred in Ogun state from writing WASCE for belonging to cult group then known as Area boys, sometimes in 2012 around Zauda in Abuja a JS3 student had his intestines spilled by a rival cult group because he befriended a girlfriend of one of their members, May 2017 residents of Rumuosi in PH woke up to find a headless body of a 17year old killed by a cult group,the previous week a boy was butchered to death around Choba, Gogo Wellington was killed at River state university, UNICAL was a bedrock of crisis, Omoku in Rivers state has not known peace for some years due to cult activities, Aluu in PH there was gruesome murder of more than 16 innocents during a reprisal attack by a cult group, UNIBEN boiled endlessly during the tenure of Prof Grace Alele Williams as VC, Okrika axis of Rivers state was on fire due to the activities of a group called bush boys, Ogoni axis is still boiling due to cult activities, boko haram cult group has been a major contender for govt attention in Nigeria
Hmmmm the list is endless cutting across all regions in Nigeria
WHAT IS CULTISM?
Devotion to the doctrine of a cult or to the practices of a cult( an interest followed with exaggerated zeal, fad, craze, furor or rage sometimes disguised under religious,cultural or freedom fighting)
ORIGIN IN NIGERIA
