Infrastrusture deficiencies,revenue collection and corruption make Nigeria one of the most expensive countries in which to manufacture despite low cost of labour.Infact it is often cheaper to import finished goods.Although there are other problems
Nigerians are extremely conservative and are not comfortable with change no matter if it is for the better .Why does this mentality alter as soon as we travel out of this country?
We have a self destructive unwillingness to work together along ethnic, religious and political leanings
We have the best manpower in the world yet the evidence is thin on ground at home
Undesirable willingness to share in the spoils of doing business, kidnapping, armed robbery are other factors against industrial growth
Cost of incorporating business entities, Corporate income tax admnistration and attendant bottlenecks(corruption) makes it difficult
Because Nigeria is so volatile it is very difficult to determine if a venture is economically viable and to plan
Nigerians will not support made in Nigeria goods if not Aba will have been our industrial hub
Nigerians do not care about standard so far it is cheap
In USA a business with a margin of 10% would render the owner an instant millionaire.3% would be sufficient in India but in Nigeria you will be happy to break even with 50% margin
I am not Apc or Pdp but i desire the best for Nigeria
