Rivers state: Chief Magistrate sends man to prison for raping speech impaired girl

A Chief Magistrate Court in Port Harcourt, presided over by F.N. Amanze, has ordered the immediate remand of  25-year-old, Isaiah Gogo, in Prison custody  for allegedly raping a speech impaired girl in Diobu area of Rivers State.

Africa Update gathered that the incident occurred on June 24 at No 20 Adelabu street, Mile Two, Diobu in Port Harcourt.

Isaiah Gogo, who reportedly attends the same Church with the little girl, is facing two count charge of rape and assault of a young girl, an offence punishable with life imprisonment, according to the Laws of Rivers State.

Amanze referred the matter to the Director of Public Prosecution for legal advise.
