Rivers NCWS President Jetiba Soberekon felicitates with Christians

The President of National Council For Women Societies, NCWS, Rivers State Branch, Princess Jetiba Soberekon, says the story of the birth of Jesus stands out in history for its transformational power irrespective of ones religious belief.

In her Christmas message made exclusively available to Africa Update, she wrote: ‘Christmas reminds me of the role of the mother, for it is the simple role of child bearing undertaken by a virtuous mother that laid the bed for this season of joy and celebration.

‘The story of the birth of Jesus stands out in history for its transformational power – whether you are Christian or Muslim. It is a tale with messages of social conscience, equality and courage, which spells the stance of our Noble council NCWS.
