Some traders in Rivers State have allegedly died from shock and others hospitalized following the recent demolition of shops by the State Government.
In a chat with newsmen, the chairman of Mile 1 traders Association,  Kenneth Eze,  disclosed that traders have lost millions of naira and  were helpless due to the decision of government .
He said the association was yet to receive any response for letters written to the Rivers State Government and Rivers State House of Assembly, reiterating that government should urgently intervene.
Speaking further , he stressed that government should compensate and relocate these traders, who were displaced last month, when their shops were demolished.
Recall that the Rivers State Government had demolished the structures at the Isaac Boro  park axis of the state over allegations that the site was  being used by criminals.
