Nyenweli Woji tasks RIVPA on professional practice

The Paramount ruler Woji community and Nyenweli Woji,  HRH Eze Sir Amb. Dr Emeka Ihunwo JP FCM, has tasked media practitioners and Publishers to utilize the services of trained journalists.

The paramount ruler reiterated that the eradication of touts can only be possible if the Rivers State independent publishers Association (RIVPA) and the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ), collaborate.

His words: “We appreciate the fact that you have come to enlighten us on touts who have gone out there as journalists.

“I think that those who do it are committing an offense and if caught, should be punished by law. It is an impersonation, where someone will begin to arrogate to himself what is not. It is a criminal offense and by the grace of God, we will avoid them.

” Because Journalists are a group of people we cherish and respect so much and would not want their position to be dragged to the mud”

He assured the executive council of RIVPA led by its chairman , Gloria Boma Harry, who were at his palace on a courtesy visit, of the support of his community in the fight against touts.
