Mumbo jumbo Fairy trips- Salu Ayoola

Nigeria is the most populous and arguably most powerful country southern sahara with a population estimated at 170 million, richly blessed with both human and natural resources strategically located at the heart of Africa yet it generates less than 4000 megawatts of power ,bedevilled with incessa nt fuel crisis ,recession and leadership arrogancy. It has suffered as a pariah nation under despotic rulers.
One expects a robust foreign policy under this dispensation
Foreign policies showcase the country and project local economy be it economic diplomacy or seasoned diplomacy
Down memory lane we have professed to be non aligned
At the inception of this administration, the president embarked on series of foreign trips to boost the foreign policies.Let us look at a few of such and see the gains
USA-The aim of the visit may have been economic and security diplomacy.Discussions we were made to believe included corruption of political governance and fight against terrorism .The timing was faulty as it came at the twilight of Obama’s regime, the same mistake we made with Clinton’s visit, moreso we patterned our system in line with Washington where foreign trips are embarked upon by secretary of state, foreign minister and technorats. This is usually devoid of jamboree of state visits and are more businesslike. In our own case, our SGF was more involved in grass cutting. Can we say the visit was successful? No it was an abysmal failure in the context of terrorism and anti corruption war
Is the China trip better ? is chinese technology acceptable to us? are we not a dumping ground for substandard chinese products? can we directly byepass dollar for yuan? why has the naira continue to slide? what is our comparative advantage? what is in the cart for China over the $4.5billion grant?
Qatar and Saudi visit- can these countries influence crude prices outside OPEC ?
We have recently been victims of xenophobic attacks and deportation
Our solution lies in our ability to priotise our foreign policy, energising our internal policy

Why are we combining Anglo saxon with China? which made me believe in the conspiracy theory that America may have been behind the naira slide through its CIA agents. Is our relationship with China collaborative? and will China support industrialization in Nigeria?
What is our short and long term foreign strategy and of what impact is NIIA in our foreign policy thrust? I am not a professor of international relations but a Marshal of good governance
i am not APC or PDP but i desire the best for Nigeria- salu ayoola
