The Rivers State Ministry of Education says it is illegal for principals to collect logistic support levy and other charges from students enrolling for the Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination.
This warning was issued by the Commissioner for Education, Prof. Kaniye Ebeku at a press conference in Port Harcourt.
He said principals who go against this instruction would face severe consequences, reiterating that the stipulated amount for registration, approved by the National Examination Council is N11,350.
Ebeku stated that stamp duty fee, other charges and logistic support which may be required by the principals to enable them complete the online registration, will be provided by the Rivers State Government .
