The funeral rites, which commenced with a solemn reception of the corpse in Buguma on Friday, 10th April 2026, culminated in a dignified interment ceremony on Saturday in her home community of Obuama.

The journey to her final resting place began in the ancient city of Buguma, the traditional headquarters of the Kalabari people.
