Collaboration Key: PANDEF Praises NDDC’s Commitment to Regional Development

The National Executive Committee of the Pan Niger Delta Forum (PANDEF) recently paid a courtesy visit to the management of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), expressing appreciation for the organization’s leadership and dedication to the region’s development.

During the visit, PANDEF acknowledged the NDDC’s transformative efforts, particularly in areas such as the Auchi-Benin road project and the “Light Up the Niger Delta” program. Ambassador Dr. Godknows Boladei Igali, National Chairman of PANDEF, commended the NDDC management team for their hard work and impactful initiatives.

In response, NDDC Managing Director Dr. Samuel Ogbuku emphasized the importance of accountability and transparency in all NDDC operations. He highlighted the implementation of measures such as engaging KPMG for independent audits and utilizing data-driven approaches for programs like Project HOPE and the youth internship scheme.

Dr. Ogbuku assured PANDEF of NDDC’s continued commitment to the development of the Niger Delta region. He outlined plans for future collaborations with International Oil Companies (IOCs) and the exploration of solar mini-grid projects to further enhance development in the region.

This visit underscores the collaborative efforts between PANDEF and NDDC to promote sustainable development and improve the lives of the people of the Niger Delta.
