Rivers State Deputy Governor, Prof. Ngozi Nma Odu says the vision of the Governor Siminalayi Fubara led Administration is to build a peaceful Rivers State that will outshine its peers in the comity of States, Africa Update reports.
Prof Odu stated this while recently playing host to the State Branch of Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria (MWAN) at the Government House in Port Harcourt.
The Deputy Governor, who said it is always good to make our presence felt globally, noted that Governor Fubara has always been responsive when it comes to things that deal with human interaction and the wellbeing of Rivers People.
According to a Statement signed by the Head of Press, Deputy Governor’s office, Owupele Benebo, Prof. Odu expressed delight that the Rivers State Branch of Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria (MWAN) is making waves beyond Nigeria.
While commending the Association for mentoring young female doctors to excel, Prof. Odu reiterated the fact that the State’s Chief Executive has effective health care delivery as one of his top priorities, because he believes that performance and excellence are linked with good health.
Earlier, the President of the Rivers State Branch of Medical Women’s Association of Nigeria, Dr. Cecilia Leloonu Nwibubasa, said they were at the Government House to acknowledge the significant strides the present administration has recorded in advancing healthcare, education and empowerment which according to her directly impacts on the lives of women.
