NDDC is Niger Delta Cash Cow- Wike

….says Governor Fubara will shock Nigerians after 100 days

Former Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, has taken a swipe at the Niger Delta Commission, NDDC, over their inability to develop Rivers State and other States in the Niger Delta Region.

Wike said the absence of a developmental master plan has led to the scramble for control of the commission and the resources amassed by it, because some very powerful people see NDDC as a means of amassing wealth.

Describing the Commission as Niger Delta Cash Cow, he challenged officials of the Commission to prove him wrong by connecting Borokiri to Okrika and Eleme, thereby further improving the Port Harcourt Ring Road, that will connect 7 local government areas in the State.

He spoke on July 17, while commissioning the 50.15KM Port Harcourt Dual Carriage Ring Road, in Port Harcourt the State capital. He said the approval for the construction of the Ring Road was given at the last Executive Council meeting of his administration, knowing the importance of the road.
