Acting Vice Chancellor of Ignatius Ajuru University of Education, IAUE, Prof. Okey Onuchuku, has Congratulated Bar. Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, the immediate past Governor of Rivers State on his nomination as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Recall that Nigerians were inundated with fake Ministerial lists, as the race towards the 60 days window provided for by the Constitution, for President Bola Tinubu to constitute the Executive Arm of his government drew close.
The Ministerial list however made it to the Senate at the nick of time, precisely on the 59th day of Tinubu’s administration, barely 24hours short of the 60days deadline.
Former Govenor Nyesom Wike and three other former Governors had made the list of 28 nominees.
Political critics have however, scored the President high, on his choice of nominees and the inclusion of 8 women on the list, which represents about 25% of the Ministerial slots so far filled.
It is expected that Wike, who is known for exceptional performance, will be a valuable team player in the President’s administration.
