Wike replies Sekibo

Governor of Rivers State Nyesom Wike, has reacted to a comment credited to former Minister of Transport, Dr Abiye Sekibo. He asked Sekibo to tell Nigeriians why he was sacked as a member of the Federal Executive Council during the Obasanjo administration.

Wike called out Sekibo on Saturday, at the Opobo Sandfill, venue of the flag off of the Rivers PDP campaign for the Governorship candidate, Siminalayi Fubara and other candidates of the party from the area. He said it would be nice for the former Minister to tell Nigerians his side of the story.

Wike noted that he served meritoriously and with integrity as a cabinet member under the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan, and resigned in 2015 to contest the Governorship Election.

Wike said Rivers people deserve to know that he (Wike) is not among those who had at some point caused crisis in their local governments, stressing that such persons have the blood of the innocent on their hands and dared Sekibo, to prove him wrong.
