Following the flurry of floods ravaging several parts of Rivers State, the Peoples Democratic Party flag bearer, Sir Siminalayi Fubara has applauded the State governor, Chief Barr. Nyesom Wike for mustering the political will to provide succor to victims of the deluge with the sum of N1billion.

Sir Fubara noted that it could only take a compassionate leader to urgently take such an essential step to salvage the people so devastated by the natural disaster.

He also commended Gov. Wike for appointing 28,000 dedicated party men and women across the state as Special Assistants in recognition of the contributions they have been making towards the success of the administration.

The gubernatorial candidate emphasized that the two actions of the governor have proven that he is a visionary and altruistic leader who feels the pains of the people and can be trusted.

In addition, Sir Fubara empathized with the flood victims across the heavily impacted areas of the State, and urged them not to lose hope as government is already attending to their predicament through the intervention of Gov. Wike.

While also congratulating all the Special Assistant appointees, Sir Fubara enjoined the people to always reciprocate the commitment and positive gesture of government towards their wellbeing by maintaining their support for the administration of Gov. Wike and the Peoples Democratic Party as the State enters the election season.
