Senator Magnus Abe has joined the race for the Rivers State Governorship. This became crystal clear when he paid for the Nomination and Expression of interest forms at the National Secretariat of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Abuja.
The purchase of these forms have increased the number of aspirants to three, making the decision made by some leaders of the party in Abuja to settle for Tonye Cole as the consensus candidate of little or no effect.
Some Stakeholders had condemned the decision made to front Cole as the sole candidate despite having other eminently qualified aspirants.
So far, a former State Chairman of the Party, Ojukaye Flag Amachree, and a former member of the House of Representatives, Bernard Mikko have bought nomination and expression of interest forms to contest for the party’s primaries.
