A Humanitarian and frontline Presidential Hopeful on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, for the 2023 General Elections in Nigeria, Tein T.S. Jack-Rich has cautioned Nigerian Youth who feel denied of their basic rights not to create social unrest as a way of venting their grievances.
Jack-Rich gave the advice when he visited a survivor of the Abuja-Kaduna Train attack and former Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, Alh. Ibrahim Wakkala in his Abuja Residence.
This comes barely two weeks after he visited the Kaduna State Government to commiserate with the state over the ill-fated Train incident where he donated 15Million Naira to victims of the ugly incident.
He said his sustained concern towards the victims of the Train attack was borne out of the need to share in their pain and grieve.
Jack-Rich while condemning the attack said such hostile act is inimical to the socio-economic development of the society.
He urged aggrieved Youth to shun hate, eschew violence, give peace a chance and let love lead.
The APC Presidential Aspirant also advised those in Leadership position to improve on the lives of the people of their local communities as a way of addressing the menace of social unrest and other vices.
“We the Youth of this country when we feel denied we should not express it by creating social unrest, it will not take us to the promise land, the destination of our dream”
“Those in Leadership should please consider the local communities where they are from because a lot of these challenges start from the Community, it starts within the family, heads to the community and then to the larger society. It is not enough to feel a sense of denial and then begin to create social unrest, the ability to surmount that feeling of rejection or denial is the strength that you need to deal with yesterday’s lack and to proffer solution for tomorrow’s opportunities”.
“Sometimes when a man feels that he has been pushed to the extreme wall he bounces back with hate, and that is not what we need, the country has gone through a lot in the time past, what we need right now is understanding, patience and love”
The APC Presidential Aspirant Tein T.S. Jack-Rich also said the visit was to express a heartfelt concern to the survivor of the Train attack and former Deputy Governor of Zamfara State Alh. Ibrahim Wakkala over the unfortunate incident.
He asserted that there is a difference between a Philanthropist and a Humanitarian, explaining that a Philanthropist gives a gift while a Humanitarian gives more than a gift, gives his heart and time.
“Irrespective of our political affiliation, language or cultural division, geographical or strategic differences, when one person is in pain we have to feel the pain together, we have to express love, we have to ensure that we express the gift of humanity and that is what God has given to us, we can’t trade it for any currency, we must express it wholeheartedly, we must exercise it. Families that are also bereaved over this incident just know that we share in your pain and grieve even though we have not located you physically”
In his response, the former Deputy Governor of Zamfara State, Alh. Ibrahim Wakkala who is recovering from the bullet injuries he sustained from the attack thanked the APC Presidential Aspirant Tein T.S. Jack-Rich for the visit.
The former Deputy Governor while explaining that he survived the attack by divine intervention expressed profound gratitude to Mr. Jack-Rich for the show of concern and love towards him and other victims of the horrific incident.
In the meantime, the APC Presidential Hopeful Tein T.S. Jack-Rich has promised to reach out to more victims of the Abuja-Kaduna Train attack.
Jack-Rich while briefing newsmen shortly after the visit to the former Deputy Governor of Zamfara State enjoined other Nigerians to also join in showing love to the victims which he said is what is needed to unite the country.
The APC Presidential Hopeful Tein T.S. Jack-Rich was accompanied in the visit by the former Spokesman of the Pan Niger Delta Forum, PANDEF, and National Coordinator of the South South Leaders Forum, His Highness, Anabs Sara-Igbe, a renowned Wrestler and African Heavyweight Champion, Mr. Osita Offor, the President of the National Youth Council of Nigeria, Amb.
