According to a post by a Port Harcourt based blogger, Joy Oyaghiri-Fagbemi, Christians ought to constantly pray irrespective of the time or place as ‘the times are evil.’ Sharing a tale yesterday, on Facebook about a mysterious bat that was killed by a Pastor in Rivers State, Oyaghiri-Fagbemi wrote; The need to listen to your heart and pray!!!
“Early morning on Sunday, somewhere between 2am and 3am, the pastor in charge of Salvation Ministries Aggrey Estate, Pastor Isaiah Iyalla had the urge to pray. He woke up and decided to go around his house and pray. After praying, he left the house to go and prepare the Church for the early morning service. While there he prayed some more, while praying, he got a call from his wife. He hesitated to pick. She called frantically and he felt it was out of place for her to call repeatedly at that hour and decided to pick. She was screaming on the other end of the line, begging him to come home that something was happening. He rushed home.
“The distance between the Church and his house is not much. As he opened the door, she ushered him to where his son was lying down, peacefully sleeping. This bat below was on his son’s chest. How it got there is still a mystery. He picked the bat up, killed it and burnt it. What if he had decided to refuse to pray when he had the urge to?I keep saying this and we will continue to say it. We wrestle not against flesh and blood. Be prayerful, be vigilant. The times are evil.
