Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, has assured members of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, of equal opportunities and fairness.
He gave the assurance this afternoon, while welcoming the Administrative Secretary of the South South All Progressives Congress, APC and media mogul, Gloria Boma Harry, alongside former Executive Director, Finance and Administration, Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Henry Ogiri, former Commissioner Lolo Ibieneye, and forner Chairman of Muslim Pilgrims Board, Chief Hassan Tam Douglas, at the PDP Secretariat in Rivers State.
The event which had council chairmen, party chairmen, commissioners, members of the Rivers State House of Assembly and other stakeholders saw the return of these APC members and their supporters back to PDP.
Those who accompanied the Governor to the event include the deputy Governor Dr. Ipalibo Harry Banigo, Secretary to Rivers State Government, Dr. Tammy Danagogo, former Governor of Rivers State, Sir Celestine Omehia, former PDP State Chairman, Bro Felix Obuah, former Deputy Speaker Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon. Marshall Owhom. The state PDP Chairman Ambassador Desmond Akawor and other members of the state Executive were present to perform the reception ceremony.
