After a long wait, Joseph R. Biden Jnr, has emerged the 46th President of the United States of America, defeating his closest rival and incumbent President Donald Trump.
Biden, a Democrat, who has been in the Senate for decades, and his running mate, Senator Kamala Harris of California, made history by polling the highest number of votes in the history of American election.

With clear lead in Pennsylvania, Georgia, Nevada and Arizona, grabbing most of the electoral votes , and with an overwhelming over 74 million popular votes , Trump’s chances at closing the margin has thinned to the extent that major news outlets in the United States have gone ahead to share the news of Biden’s victory.
