Missing hotelier found dead inside his car trunk

The decomposing corpse of a popular hotelier in Ogun State, Alhaji Jimoh Bello, who went missing on Monday night has been found inside his car trunk along Owode-Idi-Iroko Road.

The owner of Uncle J. Bee Hotel located at 168, Lagos-Idiroko Road, Owode, Yewa South Local Government area of Ogun State, was found after three days of intense search for him.

Africa Update gathered the man left his home at Owode around 8:30pm on May 18 for Idi-Iroko but never got to his destination.

His relatives had reported him missing on Wednesday after waiting for the mandatory 48 hours in the case of sudden disappearance of a person.

Unknown to them, Bello was ambushed on his way by assailants who stripped, killed and locked his body inside the trunk of his saloon car.

His decomposing body was discovered on Thursday after road users noticed blood stains underneath the car which has been stationary.

Reports revealed that people also perceived a stench from the car which drew them closer before they saw the blood.

They were said to have contacted the police who raced to the scene, opened the vehicle and found the man’s remains in the trunk.

Confirming the incident, the Police Commissioner Kenneth Ebrimson, said they have commenced investigation to unravel the circumstances behind his death.
