Rivets State Government has canceled concession earlier given to churches to hold regular services to celebrate the Easter.
The Commissioner for Information and Communications, Paulinus Nsirim, made the disclosure today after the governor met with stakeholders at the government house.
He said churches should adhere to the earlier directives mandating them to observe social distancing, provision of hand washing facilities and hand sanitizers.
He stressed that every service should not exceed the stipulated number of worshippers.
Africa Update had reported few days ago, that the State Governor Nyesom Wike, had lifted the ban placed on church services and religious gatherings.
This sudden cancelation may not be unconnected with condemnation that trialed his decision to lift the ban, as the coronavirus statistics keep increasing on a daily basis in other states.
