APC crisis: APC NWC kicks against Oshiomhole, says he is ‘legally suspended’

The crisis rocking the All Progressives Congress, APC, took a different dimension when the National Vice Chairman (North-East), Mustapha Salihu, insisted that the National Chairman, Adams Oshimohole, was no longer qualified to preside over the meeting of the party because Edo State chapter had legally suspended him.

He made the assertion at the first meeting of members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of APC on Tuesday. He said Oshiomhole, is no longer qualified to be its chairman.

Salihu stormed out of the venue from the meeting and addressed journalists, saying the reason for the recent crisis was the unilateral endorsement of Waziri Bulama as the party’s national secretary.

The APC chieftain also threatened to drag the former Edo governor to the Department of State Services (DSS), and other security agents should he continue to preside over any meeting without vacating the order legally suspending him from the party.

While also blaming all the problems confronting the ruling party on the high handedness of Oshiomhole, he claimed that he has been presiding over the party affairs using President Muhamadu Buhari’s name to ensure decisions went his in favour.

The party is yet to reveal its position on the recent development
