Hope Uzodinma’s Victory Has Reinforced Democracy – David Okumgba

The All Progressives Congress – APC, South South Zonal Office says Tuesday’s Supreme Court judgment given in favour of the party’s candidate, Senator Hope Uzodinma is a long walk to victory and has further reinforced democracy.

South South Zonal Secretary of the APC, David Okumgba who came up with this in a statement said the judgment is not just a victory for the party, but for Imo state and its people across party divides, and will attract rapid development to the state since the once destroyed bridge connecting the state directly to the centre has now been rebuilt.

He urged Governor Hope Uzodinma to be magnanimous in victory, shun political witch hunt or vindictiveness as practiced by the ousted governor Emeka Ihedioha and concentrate on delivering dividends of democracy which the APC is known for, to the good people of Imo State.

David Okumgba equally appealed to Imo citizens to give their full support to the APC led administration in the state, saying the daunting challenges of infrastructure and human capital development facing the state will prove a difficult task to upturn without their support.

The statement equally assured that as a social contract between the party and the people of Imo State, the APC government will not fail in its part to deliver good governance to the people.
