The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has foiled an attempt by drug dealers to smuggle about 3.950kg of cocaine into the country.
According to the NDLEA spokesperson, Mr. Mitchell Ofoyeju, the suspects were arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos.
On his part, the NDLEA commander at the Lagos Airport, Ahmadu Garba, revealed that 32-year-old Mbatugosi Ifechukwu, was caught with 1.950kg of cocaine concealed inside the sole of shoes which originated from Sao Paulo, Brazil, while Forty-two-year -old Onuoha Dominic ingested 850g of cocaine from Brazil and 34-year-old Adugba Godson, also ingested 1.50kg of cocaine on his way to Sydney, Australia.
The cases are however, under investigation and will be charged to court soon.
