The Court of appeal in Port Harcourt has granted a stay of execution on the judgement that nullified the primaries held by the APC in Rivers State.
In granting the stay of execution, Justice Mohammed Mustapha held that it is unfair and unjust for the APC not to field candidate in the 2019 general elections. He further held that the court was granted the stay of execution due to the urgency of the matter.
Justice Omotosho of the Federal High Court,Port Harcourt had on the 7th of January nullified the APC direct and indirect primaries and ordered INEC to delist all candidates sent to it by the APC.
