Odili, Amaechi meet in Port Harcourt

Former Rivers State Governor, Sir Peter Odili and Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi, did what most politicians would have thought impossible, considering the political atmosphere in Rivers State.

Amaechi, who has always declared his respect for Sir Odili, was seen exchanging pleasantries with the Odilis at the Diocese of Niger Delta North ( Anglican Communion), St. Paul’s Cathedral, Diobu, Port Harcourt, venue of the funeral service in honour of Hon. Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Sir Emmanuel Chinwenwo Aguma SAN, on Saturday, September 15.

It took onlookers by surprise when  Sir Odili, who is a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, his wife, Justice Mary Odili and Amaechi, openly discussed with broad smiles.

Some personalities who spoke with Africa Update, commended Amaechi for according his former boss and his wife, such respect.

They said, that act had ended speculations of a frail relationship and would eliminate any room for people to further manipulate their relationship for selfish gains.

The Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Ikunyi Ibani, Senator representing Rivers East Senatorial District, Chief Andrew Uchendu, immediate past Rivers APC Chairman, Chief Davies Ikanya, State Secretary, Chief Emeka Bekee, wife of the NIMASA boss, Mrs E. Dakuku Peterside, and several others were also at the funeral.
