The sixth edition of the young Einstein science challenge just concluded after 10 weeks of different levels of rigorous tests at the Holy Rosary College Port Harcourt.
The Einstein science challenge is the brain child of the Rotary Club of Port Harcourt GRA, district 9141. According to the President, Rotarian Jerius, the aim of the challenge is to get students involved in and enthusiastic about science.
He added that the process of learning and test periods were devoid of sentiment or nepotism. Reiterating that the winner will be chosen based on merit and will be a person with the best overall commutative score.
The winner of the sixth edition, Praise Emmanuel, SS3 student of the Niger Delta Science School, Port Harcourt, is also second girl to win the competition since inception six years ago.
Certificates were issued to the top 25 participants while Ben Carson’s ‘ You Have A Brain’ bestselling book was given to the top 10 Participants.
Students and teachers expressed their profound gratitude to the Rotary Club of Port Harcourt GRA, for giving them the platform to learn new things academically that weren’t taught before and for enabling the students maximise their potentials thereby affording them the opportunity to have a wonderful experience that would last a lifetime.
Students were advised to remain focused and take their studies seriously and that nothing should stop them from attaining heights never reached before. Adding that the only thing that can stop them is themselves.
