Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, shocked investors today, when he announced the revocation of the certificate of occupancy of the prestigious Novotel hotel in the state.
He made the declaration at a church service in Port Harcourt on Sunday, stunning the business community with the reason behind the decision.
Wike said the certificate of occupancy was revoked due to the patronage enjoyed by the hotel from the All Progressives Congress, APC.
He alleged that the hotel was being used by the APC in the state for their party activities, and directed the Special Adviser on Land to immediately commence the revocation process.
