The spokesperson of the Kaduna State. Police Command, ASP Yakubu Sabo, has confirmed the discovery of corpses of three of four children who had gone missing on Wednesday, in Tudun Wada area of the state.
According to reports, the children were all of the Hashimu Mai Atamfa family and were known to have gone missing on Wednesday around 6:45 pm but were found in a vehicle allegedly belonging to a neighbour.
One of the parents, Suleiman Hashim , said search for the missing children namely Aisha Sulaiman Hashim, three and half years; Rabi’atu Aminu Hashim, four and half years; Abubakar Sulaiman Hashim, two and half years and Hamza Aminu Hashim, two and half years had began about 6:45 pm on Wednesday.
“My biological mother, that is their grandmother, even went inside the compound to check inside the Honda Civic car that was parked and it was empty.
“But to our surprise on Saturday, we found their bodies inside the same car after three days. One of them Rabi’atu came out alive. The three bodies were all naked but when they left home they had their clothes on. This is why we suspect that they were murdered.
“Honestly, I really don’t know what to say because the incident really shocked the whole Hashim family. I lost two of my children Aisha and Abubakar while my brother lost his Son Hamza,” he said.
The fourth child who was also found in the car, however, survived and is receiving treatment at 44 Army Reference Hospital in Kaduna.
