Lawmakers pass 13 bills within 20 minutes

Lawmakers at the Green chamber of the National Assembly in Abuja, almost broke the existing record set in December 2015 when 130 bills were passed within 30 minutes.

The House of Representatives passed 13 bills within 20 minutes during plenary today, after they were read a third time.

A breakdown of the 13 bills:

1. A bill to amend the endangered species Act

2.  A bill for an Act to amend the national judicial Institute Act.

3. A bill for an Act to Amend the prevention of crimes Act

4. A bill for an Act to amend the quantity surveyors Act.

5. A bill to amend the water resources Act

6. A bill for an Act to amend the bees (import, control and management) Act.

7. A bill for an Act to amend the agricultural and Rural management training institute Act

8.  A bill for an Act to amend the telecommunications and postal offences Act

9. A bill for an Act to amend the treaty to establish the African Economic Community relating to the Pan-African parliament Act.

10. A bill for an Act to amend the utilities charges commission Act.

11. A bill for an Act to amend the chartered institute of stockbrokers Act

12. A bill for an Act to amend the Petroleum Training institute Act

13.  A bill for an Act to amend the Petroleum Products Pricing Regulatory Agency Act
