The Nwosu family in Emuoha Local Government Area in Rivers State, have not been able to unravel the circumstances surrounding the mysterious death of their son, Mr. Kinaka Nwosu.
Sources told Africa update newspaper, that the decomposing corpses of Mr. Nwosu, his wife and four children, including a seven month old baby were found in their apartment at Rumuosi on Monday.
It was gathered that neighbours became curious when the foul smell emanating from the Nwosu’s residence became unbearable.
The victims according to neighbours were last seen on the night of Friday, June 30, 2017, and a report was subsequently lodged at Choba Police Station.
The horrifying scene was discovered when some policemen dispatched to the apartment, forced open the door .
Reports said the victims were lying on the floor of the sitting room, with the television on.
Neighbours also said that on the night they were last seen, there was power outage and the family was using the generator.
Though autopsy was yet to be conducted on the victims at press time, preliminary investigation revealed that they died from suffocation caused by generator fumes.
