Exposed! Shocking revelations behind Allwell Onyesoh’s suspension

More facts have emerged regarding the suspension of a stakeholder of the All Progressives Congress (APC), in Etche Local Government Area, Rivers State , Chief Alwell Onyesoh from the Etche APC caucus.

A press statement signed by Chief Ambrose Igbokwe Nwuzi and nine other prominent Etche political leaders and made available to Africa Update, revealed that the decision was reached at an extra ordinary meeting of the Etche caucus and some major stakeholders of the party at Okehi, the council headquarters on June 3.

The statement reads in part ” after far reaching deliberations and consultations on a wide range of issues, the following resolutions were taken: 1) That Etche people are irrevocably loyal and committed to the able leadership that is being offered by our great leader and Minister of Transportation,  the Rt the Hon. Rotimi Chibuike Amaechi. (2) That our resolve to abide by the basic principles upon which our great party is founded which stresses among other things, party supremacy, the strengthening of our democratic institutions,  discipline,  order and change that we all can see remain unshaken. (3) That Chief Allwell Onyesoh is hereby suspended from the Etche APC caucus until he purges himself of contempt. (4) That in the interim, Chief Ogbonna Nwuke,  a former member of the Rivers State Executive Council and former member of the National Assembly is now to act as the Protem Chairman of the Etche caucus while the secretary of the party in Etche , Elder George Nwajoku is to act as the secretary of the caucus.  (5) That any one dealing or transacting with Chief Allwell Onyesoh does so in his individual capacity and not as the leader of the Etche caucus.

“Finally, our position firmly taken in the overall interest of our great party in Etche and the State chapter of the APC in general has already been communicated to the leadership of the party.”

The statement further accused Chief Onyesoh of plotting to destabilize the party in Etche; “Of all the reasons that we have at our disposal,  three stand out clearly.  First,  Allwell believes that in showing immeasurable disrespect for constituted authority, he would force the hand of our leader in such a manner that the slot of prominent appointment meant for Etche will be made his.

” While we agree that interests and their pursuit matter in politics,  we know that dialogue, reason, collaboration and understanding determine in the long run how basic interests in conflict are resolved.

“This brings us to the second reason for Allwell’s deadly macabre dance. Allwell would want the whole world to think his actions are proof of his undying loyalty to one of the top hands of our party who has every right as a person to aspire to office at any level.

“Incidentally, no one that we know has come out openly at this time to say that he has an eye on higher office, especially after our leader called restraint among those who may wish to emerge as aspirants within the party.

” Whereas our front runners who may nurse big dreams are perhaps,  going about their pursuit quietly,  none to be fair to them, has tried in any form to disrespect our leader.

“Similarly,  we are not aware that in pursuit of their interests,  they have urged any of our party men to act in any manner that is capable of bringing the image of our beloved leader to disrepute.

“Where Allwell is drawing this strange inspiration to act any how, talk any how, beats our imagination.

“More importantly,  is the third reason which we see as the basis for his infamous utterances.  It is a known fact throughout Etcheland that Chief Allwell Onyesoh has been engaged in active negotiations with an opposition party.

“The tempo of that conversation,  based on credible information,  has been stepped up, now that many have come to see evidence of the hideous and treacherous roles that he has played all along against the interest of the party. His attempt to smear the image of Rt the Hon. Rotimi Amaechi through sponsored media publications should be seen for what it is.”
