APC National Convention: Buhari succumbs to pressure

The scheduled National convention of the All Progressives Congress, APC, will no longer hold on February 26, due to an approval given by President Muhammadu Buhari, Africa Update has learnt.

Africa Update gathered Sunday night that the Caretaker Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, CECPC, chaired by the Yobe State Governor, Mai Bala Buni, met and decided on a two-week shift.

This development, an inside source observed may not go down well with other stakeholders of the party, because most stakeholders are agitating that the convention should hold on

There are also indications that stakeholders settled for a postponement owing to logistic gaps in the convention planning.
